If you do a quick Google image search on Curacao beaches, Kenepa Grandi will always be one of the first things to pop up. This is because this beach is what first comes to mind when you think of paradise. Powdery white sand, crystal clear turquoise waters and clear sunny skies that will leave you breathless. This spot is about a 45minute drive from the center of the island, but trust us, it’s worth the trip. This is definitely one of the spots you can’t miss out on in Curacao.
Mount Christoffel
Mount Christoffel is the national park of Curacao and offers the highest peak on the island. There are eight different hiking trails depending on your skill and endurance levels. There are scenic routes until you get to the peak that overlooks the beautiful island of Curacao. This lush park boasts of a rich variety of flora and fauna and is a must for experienced hikers and nature lovers.
Handelskade
This waterfront strip is a historic and vibrant reminder of the island’s Dutch heritage. The strip consists of a collection of houses and 18th-century buildings that are reminiscent of the Amsterdam canals with the exception of being brightly colored. This is a favorite photo-op spot for almost everyone who pays a visit, not to mention, it is considered as the most beautiful part of Punda.
Queen Emma Bridge
This bridge is usually what comes to mind when you think of what to see in Willemstad. This pontoon bridge connects the Punda and Otrobanda quarters of the capital city, Willemstad. The bridge morphs into a marvelous spectacle at night when the entire walkway is lit with colorful lights that are almost reminiscent of fireworks. This historic landmark is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely stroll.
Santa Martha Bay
If you’re looking to see a different side of Curacao, then Santa Martha Bay is definitely worth a visit!. You can access Santa Martha Bay through the village of Soto, which is located in the far western side of the Island. This Bay is the perfect location for a romantic morning away from the busier parts of the Island.
